OUR STORY

ANGKAN was born from a family who has lived and thrived through food for generations.

In our home, cooking was never just a daily task. It was a tradition, a livelihood, and a way of bringing people together. Our elders dedicated their lives to Filipino cuisine, serving families across the country and shaping tastes that many have grown to love.

We grew up in kitchens where food was prepared with intention, where recipes were taught by hand, and where flavor was taken seriously. From childhood, we learned that good food begins with good ingredients and respect for the craft.

This heritage stays with us, guiding the way we cook and the way we understand flavor.

It is also the reason we chose the name ANGKAN, a Filipino word for family, lineage, and the people connected through shared meals.

This is the heart of ANGKAN.

We come from a long line of cooks and food entrepreneurs whose work has helped define Filipino dining for decades. Their dishes have fed generations and have become part of the Filipino table.

Growing up surrounded by celebrated dishes, meticulous cooking, and a family devoted to serving Filipino households, we developed a discerning palate and a strong appreciation for honest and natural flavor.

We created ANGKAN to embody that belief and to bring a higher standard of fish sauce to Filipino families everywhere, including our own.

ANGKAN begins with the finest local fish, carefully sourced from trusted fishing communities including those in Navotas. These are blended with sea salt and allowed to ferment at their natural pace.

We use only the first press, the richest and most flavorful extract of fermentation.

We do not dilute, rush, or add sugar, artificial flavor, or preservatives.

Each batch is naturally brewed for twelve months, developing deeper umami, refined aroma, and a golden clarity that reflects true quality.

Our forty-five degree nitrogen premium strength represents its high natural protein content, the reason our flavor stands out in every dish.
